The events narrated in The Last Good Knight goes back to three years earlier than the timeline of the rest of the series already published.
I liked very much this story.
Nora in this moment of her life is a dominatrix, she broke off her relationship with Søren, even this is not so true. Theirs is a complex bond, you can't erase it with a sponge wash. And I sensed this myself, only in a few pages. Søren has is like a candle for a moth, which inevitably or at the behest of the  author, draws attention to himself, even if the male protagonist of the story is another: Lance, the perfect knight with shining armor.

If on five issues of this novella, one chapter deals with Søren and Nora, as well as other appearances here and there, there's no denying he still leaves his mark, and I daresay what a mark.
Lance was to be for Nora just a nice sub sexy, a casual encounter with whom spend a night inside the club;  Nora's approach with him is playful, funny and at the same time confidant, she saw something special in him and she can't ignore him.
Lance surprise Nora for his ability to submit in a perfect way, the embodiment of a dream, but hits her Dominatrix for the extreme security himself and knows how to show this: he is a man in search of the submission, a masochist, but he does not show the slightest uncertainty or shame in expressing his needs and preferences.
Nora at this point fails to maintain her usually distance that she shows with other people with whom she entertains during her sessions. She discover the secrets of Lance, she wants to know more about him and in turn she reveals aspects of herself who know in a few people.
After all these terms Dom, sub, etc ... you know what are the first two words that come to my mind thinking about this story: love and romance.
Despite all the scenes of BDSM sex present, actually what I was is the feeling of having read a beautiful love story.
A splendid knith and a heroine willing to do anything to make him happy.
I loved very much Nora for this, her unselfishness, her ability to the take second place while making happy a person that she cares for.

Lance is amazing, sexy, funny, loyal, he knows how to do the right thing at the right time, so he has no defect.
The final chapter is really beautiful to read, sweet and bitter at the same time, but very nice.
If you love Ms Reisz's books this story is definitely worth reading, to find another piece in the story of Nora.
