No way I'm going to be tired of reading Kit Rocha's Beyond series. Beyond Innocence is the sixth book, with also several short-novels, and the O'Kane and their Sector Four always have an irresistible fascination for me. Things have changed a lot since the beginning of the series, a fact that lead Dallas, The King, to new challenges on a land that often is like a minefield, but from which the leader of the O'Kane cannot stand back or show any kind of weakness, if he wants to keep safe his Sector 4, but especially his men and women who are now his family.

Every action leads to a consequence and a price to pay and, in this case in Beyond Innocence, Dallas, for the good of all, would not have been able to expose himself to save Jared, who is not officially part of the O'Kane, but is very important and indissolubly linked to Ace. And this would have caused a big rift in the group. But sometimes the choices made by the Dallas in the past come to help without even having to ask, and in this case is  Lili Fleming, a woman who seems unable to survive her past moves, alone, without questions, because Jared has become the most important thing in her life.

Totally blocked by the terror of returning to feel emotions, for fear of not being able to support the weight of it, Lili lives with the O'Kane, but she has always felt out of place and she is unable to trust them.

The couple Jared/Lili is not among my favorite in this series. I did not find that sort of magic and involvement that I felt as I read the other books. All initially a little too easy and smooth for Jared, I was expecting something different. And to appreciate Lili, I had to reach the end of the book, when finally she somehow manages to use to her benefit, and for Jared and the O'Kane, what in the past had made her a victim unable to react. There I really liked her, but before she remained for me a big question mark.

I'm in love a little more with Cruz, now I think he became the character I love most and I'm always happy to find him even in small doses.

Who instead intrigues me and I find also a little disturbing is Ashwin, Cruz's contact in Eden, I wonder if sooner or later this cold and calculating soldier will be involved with the O'Kane with a story on his own.

And then Gia... more and more present in recent books, but always and only due to her bond with Ace and Jared... well she is one of my favorites.

Beyond Innocence and the Four Sector remain a its wicked charm, for its world where violence, extreme sex, friendship, and loyalty are inseparable from each other. You love the O'Kane or you hate them. It's the only way to feel about them.

Non mi stancherò mai di leggere la serie Beyond di Kit Rocha. Siamo al sesto libro, con diverse short-novel di mezzo e gli O'Kane e il loro Sector Four ha sempre un fascino irresistibile per me. Le cose sono cambiate molto dall'inizio della serie, una realtà che è in continua evoluzione per Dallas, The King, nuove sfide da affrontare su terreni che spesso sono come un campo minato, ma dalle quali il capo degli O'Kane non può tirarsi indietro o far intravvedere nessun tipo di debolezza, se vuole tenere al sicuro il suo Sector 4, ma soprattutto uomini e donne che sono oramai la sua famiglia.

Ogni azione porta a una conseguenza e a un prezzo da pagare e in questo caso in Beyond Innocence Dallas, per il bene di tutti, non avrebbe potuto esporsi per salvare Jared, non ufficialmente parte degli O'Kane, ma molto importante e legato in modo indissolubile a Ace. E questo avrebbe causato una grossa frattura nel gruppo. Ma a volte le scelte fatte da Dallas lo ripagano senza neanche dover chiedere e in questo caso Lili Fleming, una donna che sembra incapace di reggere il suo passato, si muove da sola, senza bisogno di domande, perché Jared è diventato la cosa più importante nella sua vita.

Totalmente bloccata dal terrore di tornare a provare emozioni, per paura di non poterne sostenere il peso, Lili è stata accolta dagli O'Kane, ma si è sempre sentita fuori posto ed è incapace di aver fiducia in loro.

L'accoppiata Jared/Lili non è tra le mie favorite in questa serie. Non ho trovato quella sorta di magia e coinvolgimento che ho provato mentre leggevo gli altri libri. Tutto inizialmente un po' troppo facile, per Jasper mi aspettavo forse qualcosa di diverso. E per apprezzare in pieno Lili sono dovuta arrivare quasi alla fine del libro, quando finalmente lei riesce in qualche modo sfruttare a suo beneficio, di Jared e degli O'Kane, quello che in passato l'aveva resa una vittima incapace di reagire. Lì veramente mi è piaciuta, ma prima era rimasta per me un grosso punto di domanda.

Amo sempre di più Cruz, oramai credo sia diventato il personaggio che amo di più e sono sempre felice di ritrovarli anche a piccole dosi.

Quello invece che mi incuriosisce e trovo più inquietante è Ashwin, il contatto di Cruz in Eden, mi chiedo se prima o poi questo soldato freddo e calcolatore verrà coinvolto con gli O'Kane in un suo libro, o rimarrà una mina vagante.

E poi Gia... sempre più presente negli ultimi libri, ma sempre e solo a causa del suo legame con Ace e Jared... beh anche lei fa parte di miei preferiti.

Beyond Innocence e il Sector Four mangono il fascino un po' perverso di questo mondo dove violenza, sesso estremo, amicizia, lealtà sono inscindibili le une dalle altre. Gli O'Kane o li ami o li odi. Non credo ci possa essere ma via di mezzo per loro.

If I had to be honest it wasn't love from the bottom of my heart when I started reading this book. "In His Command" is a dystopian book erotic M/M, the first one in the series "Don't Tell" by Rie Warren.
Usually the post-apocalyptic setting of dystopian books intrigues me a lot, but in this case I really struggled to move forward in  the reading, leaving the book slightly to decant to see if it was me in a moment of impatience.
Then I restarted it and although I stayed perplexed, but I went ahead and I passed the rock representing at first Caspar and Nathaniel, then I began to appreciate the full story when the two reach a rebel town and I was very impressed by how the author developed the ending of the story.
Caspar is a commander in the Company, the regime that took the lead of territories divided into sixteen Nations. A real dictatorship, which after catastrophic events occurring on the planet, washing the brains of survivors and with its propaganda and its laws established its domain, stating the homosexuality and sexually deviant behaviors are outside the law, going so far as to condemn the culprits  with also public executions.

Nathaniel is a valuable component of the company, thanks to his capacity for telecommunications management and security.
What I didn't like at the start? The book is told through the POV of Caspar, which among other things I wasn't really fond of, he was a bit too incoherent and hypocritical. Perhaps his contempt towards himself and his ideas were expressed so well, that had convinced me too, a homosexual who to hide his secret and joins the pack of wolves, becoming one of the most feared and respected commanders, but which participates in forbidden and secret meeting in order to vent his sexual frustration. The language used in the story is definitely full of testosterone, and given the two protagonists very alpha in their behaviors, it is perfect.
The other thing that had me a little bored initially was the fact of concentrating all alone and almost exclusively on the sexual attraction between Nathaniel and Caspar and hot nights of passions. Aside from great sex scenes is not that the plot had many outlets, but fortunately, while the two are on their way to an outpost of the company, they arrive in rebels' commune, that the system has labeled as "little more than beasts" and the book chenge, as well as the relationship between Caspar and Nathaniel.
About Caspar we learn about everything, even his past that led him to make his choices, and how much he's good to hide himself in the eyes of others; Nathaniel, on the other hand, in some ways I found him harder to decipher, but more fascinating as a character, with his secrets  that until the end did not clarify where are his loyalty and his heart.
I had my own ideas, but several times I found myself with big doubts about him.
As I said the final largely redeemed the beginning a bit difficult for me, and the overall rating is three stars.

Se devo essere onesta non è stato amore alla follia quando ho iniziato a leggere questo libro. "in His Command" è un libro distopico erotico M/M, che dà il via alla serie "Don't Tell" di Rie Warren.
Di solito l'ambientazione post-apocalittica dei libri distopici mi intriga parecchio, ma in questo caso ho veramente faticato ad andare avanti nella lettura, lasciando il libro un po' a decantare per vedere se ero io in un momento di insofferenza.
Ci sono ritornata e nonostante rimanessi perplessa sono andata avanti e ho superato lo scoglio che rappresentavano in un primo momento Caspar e Nathaniel, per poi cominciare ad apprezzare la storia appieno quando i due raggiungono una comune di ribelli e rimanere decisamente impressionata da come ha sviluppato il finale della storia l'autrice.
Caspar è un comandante all'interno delle milizie della Compagnia, il regime che ha preso il comando dell'insieme dei territori suddivisi in sedici nazioni. Una vera e propria dittatura, che dopo eventi catastrofici accaduti sul pianeta, ha plagiato la mente dei sopravvissuti e con la sua propaganda e le sue leggi ha stabilito il suo dominio, dichiarando tra l'altro l'omosessualità e i comportamenti sessualmente devianti fuori legge, arrivando a condannare i colpevoli anche a pubbliche esecuzioni.
Nathaniel è un prezioso componente della Compagnia, grazie alle sue capacità con i mezzi informatici per la gestione delle telecomunicazioni e sicurezza.
Cosa non mi ha convinto all'inizio della mia lettura? Il libro è raccontato attraverso il POV di Caspar, che tra l'altro non è che mi risultasse simpaticissimo, lo trovavo un po' troppo ipocrita e poco coerente. Forse il suo auto disprezzo verso se stesso e le sue scelte lo esprimeva così bene, che aveva convinto anche me delle sue idee, un omosessuale che per nascondere il suo segreto si unisce al branco dei lupi, diventandone uno dei comandanti più temuti e rispettati, ma che però partecipa a incontri proibiti e segreti per poter sfogare la propria frustrazione sessuale. Il linguaggio utilizzato nel racconto è decisamente ricco di testosterone, e visti i due protagonisti molto alpha nei loro comportamenti, la cosa ci sta tutta.
Altra cosa che mi aveva un po' annoiato inizialmente era il fatto di concentrare tutto solo e quasi esclusivamente sull'attrazione sessuale presente tra Nathaniel e Caspar e relative nottate di fuoco tra i due. A parte gran scene di sesso non è che la trama avesse molti sbocchi, ma per fortuna, mentre i due sono in viaggio verso un avamposto della Compagnia, arrivano in una comune di ribelli, che il regime ha etichettato come " poco più che bestie" e il libro arriva alla sua svolta, così come il rapporto tra Caspar e Nathaniel.
Di Caspar impariamo a conoscere tutto,  anche il suo passato che l'ha portato a fare le sue scelte, e quanto riesca bene a nascondersi agli occhi degli altri; Nathaniel, invece, in un certo senso l'ho trovato più difficile da decifrare, ma più affascinante come personaggio, con i suoi segreti che fino alla fine non chiariscono dove stanno la sua lealtà e il suo cuore.
Avevo le mie idee, ma più volte mi sono ritrovata con grossi dubbi su di lui.
Come ho detto il finale ha riscattato ampiamente l'inizio un po' difficile di questa mia lettura, e il giudizio complessivo è di tre stelline.

What an amazing series!

Every time I read a new  book about the Sector Four and the O'Kane I fondo myself enthusiastic. Short-novel or longer stories, it doesn't matter at all, the protagonists are always compelling and unique as well as their stories.

I can't help myself in finding someone I love more than the others in these stories, Dallas and Lex are my favorite pair, but Zan and Tatiana, like all others before are spectacular.

I love the balance that the duo Kit Rocha manage to create in their pairs.

Zan, who previously had been little more than a small appearance, in his book becomes a protagonist of all respect. An incredible man: hot and relentless, loyal and stubborn, but with Tatiana is really a perfect man. He really see THE true Tatiana, under the facade she shows to everyone, and he waits, he knows that only if he gives her time,  to be independent and stand alone on her legs, he can have her, so while he's protecting her from afar, he's a constant figure in Tatiana's life of. He wants her, but he respects Tatiana even when he is forced to try to bring her on the O'Kane side. He doesn't lie to her and doesn't need to force her. And he's so damn hot...

Tatiana is not part of the O'Kane, indeed is the daughter of what was one of the worst enemy of Dallas. She's a really tough woman, willing to do anything to survive on her own, accustomed to be treated with suspicion, without heat and she faces the difficulties alone. She cannot show her weaknesses or trusting the others people, she feels insecure, but certainly is not naive or a victim. Knife in the boot or pistol at hand she is always ready to solve her problems on her own.

But Zan is different, she feels attracted to him and feels the need to trust him, even if it could cost her dearly.

A wonderful story, love, erotism, action, friendship and loyalty and a group, THE O'Kane, which for me now are like a family. I love them all and I can't wait to read more stories.

Che serie fantastica questa!

Ogni volta che leggo un nuovo capitolo del Sector Four e degli O'Kane ne rimango entusiasta. Che siano short-novel o racconti più lunghi i protagonisti sono sempre straordinari così come le loro storie.

Non so più quasi ritrovare uno che possa primeggiare sugli altri, Dallas e Lex rimangono la mia coppia preferita, ma Zan e Tatiana, come tutti gli altri prima sono spettacolari.

Adoro l'equilibrio che le Rocha riescono a creare nelle loro coppie.

Zan, che in precedenza era stato poco più che una piccola comparsa, nel suo libro si trasforma in un protagonista di tutto rispetto. Un uomo incredibile: sexy e implacabile, leale e risoluto ma con Tatiana è veramente un uomo perfetto. La vede veramente,mostra la facciata che la ragazza fa vedere a tutti, e la aspetta, sa che per averla realmente deve darle il tempo necessario per essere indipendente e reggersi da sola sulle sue gambe, e pur proteggendola da lontano ed essere una figura costante e presente nella vita di Tatiana. La desidera, ma la rispetta anche quando è costretto a tentare di portarla dalla parte degli O'Kane. Non le mente e non fa forzature. Ed è così tremendamente sexy...

Tatiana non fa parte degli O'Kane, anzi è la figlia di quello che è sato uno degli acerrimi nemici di Dallas. È una veramente tosta, disposta a tutto per sopravvivere con le sue sole forze, abituata a essere trattata con diffidenza, senza calore e affrontare da sola le difficoltà. Non può mostrare le sue debolezze o fidarsi degli altri, si sente insicura, ma di certo non è sprovveduta o fa la vittima. Coltello nello stivale o pistola a portata di mano è sempre pronta a risolvere i suoi problemi da sola.

Ma Zan per lei è diverso, si sente attratta da lui e sente il bisogno di fidarsi di lui, anche se potrebbe costarle caro.

Una storia stupenda, amore, erotismo, azione, amicizia e lealtà e un gruppo, quello degli O'Kane, che per me oramai è come una famiglia. Li adoro tutti e non vedo l'ora di poter conoscere altre storie.

Portateli in Italia!!!

Nuovo racconto breve della serie Beyond scritto dal duo di autrici conosciute con lo pseudonimo di Kit Rocha.
La serie Beyond è davvero fantastica e come dico ogni volta crea dipendenza, si rimane legati fortemente agli O'Kane e alle loro storie e grazie al ritmo serrato di scrittura e pubblicazione delle autrici, siamo di fronte a un'altra storia stupenda in Beyond Solitude.

Quando un incidente in moto lascia Derek Ford costretto dietro una scrivania, nel quartier generale degli O'Kane, l'ultima cosa della quale ha bisogno è di una una nuova segretaria molto sexy che metta a soqquadro il suo ufficio e la sua vita. Ma Mia non si lascia intimidire dai suoi modi prepotenti da boss. L'attrito tra i due crea un'innegabile attrazione... ma Mia non vuole essere proprietà di nessuno e Ford farà qualsiasi cosa per proteggere ciò che è suo.

La storia di Ford e Mia si svolge in contemporanea a Beyond Jealousy.
Rispetto agli altri libri letti fino a ora,  ho trovato questo racconto un po' diverso dal solito, più incentrato sui suoi protagonisti, sulle loro storie individuali, il loro passato che ha delle grosse ripercussioni su come hanno deciso di affrontare la loro vita. Ford e Mia sono molto diversi, ma insieme sono perfetti l'uno per l'altro.
Ford è burbero, orgoglioso, solitario, i postumi di un grave incidente in moto gli danno ancora dei grossi problemi nel camminare a causa del dolore, ma cerca di nascondere agli altri la sua menomazione perché non vuole ricevere la pietà di nessuno. Preferisce stare lontano dalle feste degli O'Kane e si dedica anima e corpo al suo lavoro, aiutando ad accrescere li affari di Dallas.
Mia proviene dal Sector Two, dove le ragazze vengono addestrate a essere le amanti perfette, prostitute d'alto bordo, che diventano proprietà di uomini che le comprano. Seguendo l'esempio di Lex, Mia scappa da tutto questo, vuole poter vivere la sua vita liberamente, vuole essere apprezzata per le sue reali capacità, che includono anche una mente sveglia e intelligente.
L'attrazione tra i due è immediata, ma Ford tenta di tenerla lontano, col suo comportamento scostante, ma Mia riesce a leggere oltre la sua facciata.
Ho amato entrambi, Ford così scorbutico, brontolone e terribilmente sexy, ma che con Mia diventa protettivo, con piccoli gesti dimostra di tenere a lei, cerca di rendere meno difficile la vita della ragazza e la incoraggia a utilizzare le sue capacità e la sua intelligenza nel suo lavoro con gli O'Kane.
Mia mi è piaciuta molto per la sua volontà nel seguire il suo sogno, nonostante le difficoltà e i pericoli, preferisce vivere una vita disagiata ma libera, è sempre col sorriso sulle labbra e nonostante le sue insicurezze, cerca di andare avanti per la sua strada.
Non fa ufficialmente parte della gang, ma tutti la considerano parte della famiglia e la fanno sentire a casa e protetta.
Una storia splendida, coinvolgente e come sempre, quando si parla di O'Kane, anche l'erotismo vuole la sua parte.
E adesso aspettiamo per Trix, dopo il finale mozzafiato di Beyond Jealousy.

The series Beyond is really amazing and as I say every time gives a real addiction to the O'Kane and their stories and thanks fast pace of writing and publication of the authors, we can read very soon another wonderful story  with Beyond Solitude.


When a motorcycle accident leaves Derek Ford riding a desk at the O’Kane compound, the last thing he needs is a sexy new assistant upending his office and his life. But Mia isn’t scared of her domineering boss. The friction between them generates an undeniable heat—but Mia will not be kept, and Ford will do anything to protect what’s his.

Ford and Mia's takes place simultaneously to Beyond Jealousy.
Compared to other books I read so far, I found this story a little different from the usual, more focused on its characters, their individual stories, their past that has major repercussions on how they decided to ho on with their lives. Ford and Mia are very different, but together they are perfect for each other.
Ford is gruff, proud, lonely, he made a serious motorbike accident and the damage still gives him big problems in walking because of the pain, but he tries to hide his disability to others because he doesn't want to receive pity from anyone. He prefers to stay away from the famous party of the O'Kane and he works body and soul, helping to increase Dallas' business.
Mia comes from Sector Two, where the girls are trained to be the perfect lovers, prostitutes of high board , and become the property of men that buy them. Following the example of Lex, Mia run from all this, she wants to live her life freely, she wants to be appreciated for her real ability, which also include an sharp and intelligent mind.
The attraction between them is immediate, but Ford tries to keep her away, with his  gruff behavior, but Mia can read over his facade.
I loved both of them, Ford so grumpy and terribly hot, but with Mis he becomes protective, he makes  small gestures proves he has feelings for her, he tries to make less difficult the girl's life and encourages her to use her skills and intelligence in her work with the O'Kane.
 I liked Mia for her willingness to follow her dream, in spite of the difficulties and dangers, she prefers to live a hard life, but free, she's always with a smile on her face and despite her insecurities,she  tries to go on her way.
She is not officially part of the gang, but all the O'Kane consider her part of the family and they make her feel at home and protected.
An amazind , engaging story and as always, when it comes to O'Kane, very very hot.
And now I can't wait for Trix, after the big cliffhanger in the end of Beyond Jealousy

Finalmente! Quando ho aperto la posta elettronica e ho trovato il file del libro di Beyond Jealousy mi si è illuminata la giornata!

Ace, Rachel e Cruz e la loro storia, non stavo più nella pelle in questi giorni, sapendo che eravamo agli sgoccioli con la sua pubblicazione: 17 marzo.

Era alla ricerca dell'uomo perfetto... Ne ha trovati due.

Quando Rachel ha sacrificato la sua vita in Eden per salvare gli O'Kane, si è guadagnata il suo posto all'interno della potente gang del Sector Four. Ma quella che in passato era stata la principessa del crimine, adesso è stanca di essere considerata come una sorellina da tutti. È arrivato per lei il tempo di scatenarsi, realizzare le sue fantasie solo come una O'Kane può fare, con un delizioso soldato in esilio e con l'uomo più sexy e peccaminoso all'interno della gang: l'artista e tatuatore degli O'Kane.

Un santo...

Lorenzo Cruz è un guerriero, al quale è stato insegnato dai suoi comandanti in Eden che farsi coinvolgere equivale a una distrazione. Le emozioni sono un ostacolo, il desiderio è un peccato. Nel Sector Four si trova di fronte alla decadenza, sesso senza freni inibitori, e ai suoi bisogni più oscuri. Nessuna strategia di battaglia lo ha preparato per come Rachel gli fa battere forte il cuore... o per il modo nel quale il suo rivale nel conquistare la ragazza gli infiamma il sangue.

... e un peccatore

Ace Santana ha la reputazione del cattivo ragazzo che va di pari passo con la sua mente quando si tratta delle sue nuove amanti. È impaziente di aiutare Cruz a lasciarsi andare al suo lato dominante e a esplorare i confini tra piacere e dolore con Rachel. Ma affronatre con loro questo percorso di perdizione per lui diventa ben presto un'ossessione, un bisogno che non può più negare e... un amore come non avrebbe mai potuto immaginare.

Tre cuori in gioco che potrebbero voler dire cento modi nel quale potrebbero andare male le cose in questo ménage a trois. Dopotutto anche gli O'Kane hanno sempre fatto le cose a due a due. Uno di loro potrebbe essere il pezzo mancante per rendere il loro rapporto completo... o un diversivo temporaneo destinato a spezzargli il cuore.

Da dove posso cominciare? Ho adorato questo libro e la sorpresa più grossa per me è stata proprio Cruz. Una vera scoperta e mi è rimasto nel cuore...

Uno dei miei personaggi preferiti, insieme a Dallas e Lex, nella serie Beyond è sempre stato Ace e quando nel Sector Four era arrivato Cruz, insinuandosi tra Rachel e Ace, la cosa non mi era andata molto giù. Antipatia a pelle, troppo perfetto e bravo per i miei gusti. E invece... Tra i tre protagonisti del libro è quello che mi ha colpito di più, emozionato, commosso, ma anche fatto sbavare il giusto. Grazie a lui prende il via la storia tra i tre ed è lui che è disposto a sostenere il peso di un eventuale loro caduta.

Ace, come sempre, ha  i suoi " momenti da cazzone", come li chiamo io. È spesso dominato dalla sua paura di non essere mai abbastanza, di essere usato e poi rigettato dalle persone che ama, pensa che se riusciranno a vedere nel suo profondo, una volta che il rapporto si farà più serio non lo ameranno più.  È sempre in attesa di una catastrofe che magari non avverrà mai. Questo gli fa commettere errori mastodontici, a volte mi ha fatto veramente arrabbiare, ma quando riesce ad aprirsi è meraviglioso. Come dice lui non è bravo con le parole, ma i fatti parlano per lui.

Il libro è molto incentrato sulla loro storia e le dinamiche delicate che si instaurano in questo rapporto a tre, l'erotismo nelle scene scritte dalle autrici è sempre altissimo,crome in tutti i libri della serie Beyond, e con Ace di mezzo non poteva che essere così.

Rachel è un personaggio femminile incredibile, come tutte le donne O'Kane; in apparenza meno tosta delle altre, più fragile, ma si mette in gioco senza riserve, coraggiosamente decide di seguire il suo cuore e accetta di affrontare il rischio di avere una storia con Cruz e Ace. È tutto nuovo per loro, vanno avanti alla cieca e non hanno idea di quello che potrebbe succedere tra di loro.

Passione, sesso, tanto sesso estremo, ma anche tenerezza, il legame unico di fratellanza degli O'Kane, fiducia.

Sullo sfondo della loro storia ci sono sempre i personaggi che abbiamo conosciuto nei libri precedenti e le cose per Dallas, il Re del Sector Four si stanno facendo veramente pesanti da tenere sotto controllo, nemici rivali minacciano la tranquillità del suo territorio, trappole, tentativi per metterlo contro i suoi alleati e atti di violenza che  potrebbe sfociare in una vera e propria guerra.

In ogni libro si hanno dei piccoli lampi che ti fanno conoscere aspetti più approfonditi degli altri membri degli O'Kane; questa volta è stato il turno di Mad. Spero facciano su di lui presto un libro o una novella per farcelo conoscere meglio, ma anche Jared, il più caro amico di Ace, mi incuriosisce parecchio

Le autrici hanno deciso di creare un finale mozzafiato, non su Ace, Rachel e Cruz, ma sulla protagonista del prossimo libro. Una vera tortura... per fortuna la pubblicazione dovrebbe avvenire a maggio e così un altro tassello degli O'Kane e delle loro storie verrà scoperto.

Where can I begin? I loved this book and the biggest surprise for me was Cruz. A real discovery and he has a piece of my heart now ...

One of my favorite characters, along with Dallas and Lex, in the Beyond series has always been Ace and when in Sector Four arrived Cruz, putting himself between Rachel and Ace, I didn't really appreciate this thing. I didn't like him at first read, too perfect and good for my taste. And instead ... Between the three protagonists of the book he is who struck me the most. He's damn hot, mouthwatering, but also so caring. Thanks to him the story takes place between the three them and he's the one who is willing to support the weight of an eventual fall.

Ace, as always, has his "asshole moments", as I love to call them. He is often dominated by his fear of never being enough, to be used and then discarded by the people he loves, he thinks that if they see in his soul, once the relationship will be more serious, they coldn't love him anymore.  He is always waiting for a catastrophe that maybe won't happen ever. He makes a lot of enormous mistakes because of it, sometimes he made me really angry, but when Amy manages to open up he is amazing. As he says he is not good with words, but the facts speak for him.

The book is very focused on their story and the delicate dynamics that develop in this threesome, the erotism in the sex scenes written by authors is very hot, as always  in all the books in the series Beyond, and with Ace it could only this way...

Rachel is a wonderful female character, as all women O'Kane; apparently less tough than other, more fragile, but  she puts into play without reserve, she bravely decides to follow her heart and agree to face the risk of having a relationship with Cruz and Ace. It's all new for them, they go on blindly and they have no idea about what could happen between them.

Passion, sex, lots of dirty and rough sex, but also tenderness, the bond of the O'Kanr brotherhood, trust.

In the background of their story there are always characters that we have known in the previous books and things for Dallas, the King of Sector Four are doing really tough to keep under control, enemies threaten the tranquility of his territory, traps, attempts to put him against his allies and acts of violence that might begin a real war.

In every book I found small glimpses that shown more detailed aspects of the other members of the O'Kane; this time it was the turn of Mad. I hope there will be soon a book about him or a novel to let us know him better, and also  Jared, the closest friend of Ace, I'm curious a lot about him.

The authors have decided to create a final with a cliffhanger that is a real torture, not  about Ace, Rachel and Cruz, but with the protagonist of the next book. Luckily the publication should take place in may, and so another piece of O'Kane and their stories will be discovered.

I racconti presenti in Marked sono tre uniti tra di loro da due cose: genere letterario, erotica, e tatuaggi; le tre short-novel altrimenti sono tra loro molto diverse e preferisco parlarne separatamente, in diversi post.

BEYOND TEMPTATION (Beyond Series #3.5) by Kit Rocha

Solo questo racconto vale tutto il libro. Considero la Beyond Series I migliori libri da leggere, se piace questo genere. Crea dipendenza, e non solo per come le autrici scrivono le loro scene di sesso tra i protagonisti, dire scene bollenti non rende l'idea, ma perchè le trame e i personaggi che hanno creato riescono a catturare il lettore e una volta entrati nel Sector Four si è dentro un tunnel e si riesce solo ad aspettare la prossima uscita, rileggere i libri già letti e godersi il mondo degli O'Kane.

Ma passiamo a Beyond Temptation, la storia di Emma e Noah, due personaggi che si erano intravisti nel libro precedente, Beyond Pain. Lei è una delle donne O'Kane, lui il miglior hacker in circolazione, che tutti vorrebbero come alleato, ma la maggior parte, vista la sua pericolosità gradirebbe eliminarlo.

Dallas O'Kane ha bisogno del suo aiuto, per inferire un colpo mortale a un comune nemico, l'uomo che è stato alla causa della morte del fratello di Emma e miglio amico di Noah.

Noah è ben lontano dalla classica figura del genio dell'informatica che di solito si ha, timido, piccolo, minuto, tutto occhiali, brufoli. È pericoloso, sveglio, risoluto, dannatamente sexy, con una sana passione per il sesso estremo, protettivo e molto vendicativo.

Per lui la vendetta è un piatto che va servito freddo se,qualcuno ha tradito la sua fiducia.

Per proteggere Emma, le aveva comperato la libertà e una vita da sogno, lontano dai pericoli, rinunciando alla bellissima ragazzina innocente, sorella del suo migliore amico, ma le cose non sono andate come aveva previsto. Scoperto l'inganno, Noah decide di venire allo scoperto, trovarla e portarla al sicuro, ma Emma fa parte degli O'Kane. Noah per scoprire se la ragazza è libera e consenziente nel far parte della "famiglia" di Dallas O'Kane decide di accettare di aiutarlo.

Emma è cambiata, è diventata una donna,non è più la ragazzina ingenua che lui si ricordava, è sexy, sicura di sé, una vera donna degli O'Kane. Una cosa non è cambiata, però, i suoi sentimenti per Noah, il suo primo amore.

È decisa ad avere Noah e lui non può resisterle, nonostante lui abbia un sacco di scheletri nell'armadio, che una volta venuti fuori potrebbero far soffrire Emma.

Breve, ma intensa questa storia. Un gioiellino e sinceramente non me la aspettavo così bella, un po' perchè è un racconto breve, con due personaggi che non si conoscevano molto. E invece... Ho divorato il libro, e adesso conto i giorni per l'uscita del libro su Ace, Rachel e Cruz, finalmente.

Noah è veramente "tanta roba", come si dice, ma quella che mi ha sorpreso di più è stata Emma, mi aspettavo una ragazzina timida e paurosa e invece ho scoperta una ragazza tosta, capace di badare a se stessa, decisa a ottenere quello che vuole. Sinceramente sbavo per i personaggi maschili della Beyond Series, ma le donne sono spettacolari.

Ho adorato le comparse di Ace, Dalla, Lex, Jasper e Noelle, come ritrovare dei vecchi amici a quali sei affezionato.

E mi è rimasta una gran voglia di farmi disegnare un tatuaggio da Emma, un sogno.

The stories featured in Marked are three joined together by two things: literary genre, erotica, and tattoos; the three short-novel otherwise are vastly different and I prefer to talk about them separately, in different posts.

BEYOND TEMPTATION (Beyond Series # 3.5) by Kit Rocha

Only this story is worth the whole book. I consider the Beyond Series the best books to read, if you like the erotica. It's addicting, not only as the authors write their sex scenes between the protagonists, say hot scenes doesn't make the idea, but because the storylines and the characters they have created are able to pick up the reader and once you enter the Sector Four you are in a tunnel and you can just wait for the next book, or reread the books already read and enjoy the world of O'Kane.

But let's move on to Beyond Temptation, the story of Emma and Noah, two characters of whom we had a glimpse in the previous book, Beyond Pain. She is one of the O'Kane women, and Noah is the best hackers out there, that everyone would want as an ally, but most, given his dangerousness would love to kill him.

Dallas O'Kane needs his help, to infer a death blow to a common enemy, the man who was the cause of the death of Emma's brother  and Noah's best friend.

Noah is far from the classical figure of the geek: shy, tiny, all glasses, pimples. He is a big man, dangerous, smart, determined, damn hot, he loves dirty sex, he's very protective and vengeful.

For him, revenge is a dish best served cold, if someone has betrayed his trust.

To protect Emma, he had bought her freedom and a life of dream, away from the dangers, renouncing the beautiful innocent girl, sister of his best friend, but things didn't go as he planned. One he found out the deception, Noah decides to come into the open, to find her and bring her to safety, but Emma is part of the O'Kane now. Noah wants to find out if the girl is free and willing to be part of the "family" of Dallas O'Kane and he decides to accept to help Dallas with his plans.

Emma has changed, has become a woman, is no longer the naive girl that he remembered, she's sexy, self-confident, a real O'Kane woman. One thing hasn't changed, though, her feelings for Noah, her first love.

She is determined to have Noah and he cannot resist her, although he has a lot of skeletons in the closet, which once came out might become cause of pain for Emma.

Short, but intense this story. A treasure and honestly I didn't expect it so amazing, because of it's a short story with two unknown characters. And instead ... I devoured the book, and now there are a few days for the release of the book on Ace, Rachel and Cruz, is coming, finally.

Noah is really "hot stuff", as we say in Italy, but what surprised me the most was Emma, I expected a little shy and fearful girl and instead I discovered a tough girl, bad-ass, determined to get what she wants. Sincerly the male characters of the Beyond Series are mouth-watering, but women are spectacular.

I loved the appearance in the novel of Ace, Dallas, Lex, Jasper and Noelle,  it was how to meet old friends like you are fond of.

And I have a great desire for myself:  a tattoo drew by Emma, it's only a dream.

Quando ho letto il post su facebook attraverso il quale le autrici informavano che erano disponibile delle copie eArc del libro, non ho potuto resistere e ho provato a chiederne una copia in visione.

Adoro la serie Beyond di Kit Rocha, oserei dire che è talmente appassionante da creare dipendenza. Beyond Pain è il terzo libro della serie e nella storia i riflettori questa volta sono puntati su Bren e Six che avevamo già intravisto in precedenza.

Una donna senza futuro...

Vivere in fretta, morire giovane - tutto il resto è solo una fantasia per Six. È sopravvissuta al peggio di quello che la vita nei settori poteva farle affrontare, ma andare a finire nel settore Quattro di Dallas O'Kane e della suo gang può metterla di fronte a nuovi pericoli. Sono completamente aperti riguardo a tutto, incluso la loro sessualità - ma lei non è sopravvissuta così a lungo rimanendo vulnerabile.

Soprattutto non di fronte a un uomo così dominante come Brendan Donnelly.

Un uomo senza passato...

Bren è un killer, addestrato in Eden e scaricato poi nei settori. Il suo sfogo è il dolore, nella gabbia da combattimento e nella camera da letto, e le emozioni sono un lusso che non si può permettere - fino a quando non incontra Six. Proteggerla lo aiuta a rimanere calmo, ma non basta. La brama di lei per il contatto, il tocco, dà inizio a un viaggio alla scoperta di un erotismo dove tutto è consentito: voyeurismo, flogging, sesso estremo. Lui ha solo una regola: non condividerla con nessuno.

Tra le braccia di Bren Six è finalmente libera di lasciarsi andare. Ma l'ossessione di Bren, verso l'uomo che lo ha fatto diventare un mostro, potrebbe distruggere la fragile connessione che sono riusciti a instaurare e potrebbe costargli l'unica cosa che lo fa sentire umano: l'amore di Six.

La storia che nasce tra Bren e Six è al tempo stesso dolce, intensa e terribilmente hot. Bren sa di non poter cancellare le ferite profonde causate dagli abusi che ha subito Six, causati da Trent, l'uomo che era a capo del settore Tre, ma vuole aiutarla a mettere insieme i pezzi e ridarle la capacità di tornare a credere in se stessa e accettare il suo posto nel settore Quattro credere nel fatto che per lei ci possa essere un posto tra gli O'Kane e volerne far parte, senza sentirsi un outsider. Bren sa che per riuscire a farlo deve  oltrepassare lo scudo che si é costruita intorno Six e ottenere la sua fiducia.

È un percorso lungo per Six, che deve combattere contro il suo istinto di sopravvivenza, che l'ha aiutata a superare momenti terribili, prima del suo arrivo tra gli O'Kane e cogliere l'opportunità di avere finalmente un posto in una famiglia, perchè essere un O'Kane vuol dire far parte di una famiglia, la gang viene prima di tutto, il legame tra i suoi membri è profondo e unico.

Bren a sua volta non è il perfetto cavaliere con l'armatura scintillante, è un killer, Nel suo passato ha commesso azioni terribili e spietate. Il suo unico obiettivo è sempre stato la vendetta contro il suo nemico, e non è immune dal commettere sbagli con Six, ma niente e nessuno lo può allontanare dal suo legame con lei.

La trama non è incentrata solo su loro due e sull'evoluzione della loro relazione da platonica amicizia a qualcosa di molto più erotico ed estremo.

La sessualità tra i componenti della gang è esplorata sempre al limite (BDSM, esibizionismo, threesome o più ), ma che fa sempre il paio con consensualità...

Rivediamo the King Dallas e la sua Regina Lex, alle prese con la gestione del nuovo settore Tre, di cui devono cominciare a esercitare il controllo. Sono perfetti insieme e rimango sempre incantata dalla perfezione del loro legame per non dire i fuochi d'artificio che sanno sprigionare in alcune scene in cui sono presenti, sono a dir poco bollenti e incredibili.

Vengono introdotti nuovi personaggi che vedremo nel futuro, Emma e Noah e poi ci sono Cruz, Rachel e Ace. Credo proprio che il loro libro, dopo le sorpresine mostrate su di loro in Beyond Pain, sarà spettacolare, spero quanto il libro su Lex e Dallas che è il mio preferito per ora.

La serie Beyond credo sia una dellle migliori in circolazione grazie ai suoi stupendi personaggi, sia presi singolarmente, che per le dinamiche della gang, alla sua originalità come ambientazione e alle trame ben costruite. È veramente un piacere immergersi nel mondo degli O'Kane, ti entrano nel sangue.

When I read the post on facebook through which the authors informed there were eArc copies available of the book, I could not resist and I tried to ask for a copy.

I love Kit Rocha's Beyond Series and I think that it is so exciting to be addictive. Beyond Pain is the third book in the series and this time the story is about Bren and Six, we had a glimpses of them that in the previous book.

A woman with no future...

Bren is not the perfect "Knight with shining armor", he is a killer, in his past he has done terrible and merciless things. His only desire has always been the revenge against his enemy, and he is not immune from making mistakes with Six, but nothing and nobody can go through from his bond with her.

The plot is not focused only on two of them and the evolution of their platonic friendship relationship to something much more erotic and extreme.

Sexuality among the members of the gang is explored at the limit (BDSM, Exhibitionism, threesome or more), but that is always the go with consensuality ...

We can see the King Dallas and his Queen Lex, struggling with new sector management, which they must begin to take the control. They are perfect together and I am always enchanted by the perfection of their bond, and the fireworks they make in a few scenes in which they are present, they're are so amazing and hot.

We meet new characters that we will see in the future, Emma and Noah, and then there are Cruz, Rachel and Ace. I believe that their book, after the little suprises displayed on them in Beyond Pain, will be spectacular, I hope as the book on Lex and Dallas, which is my favorite right now.

The Beyond Series I think is one of the best , thanks to its wonderful characters and for the dynamics of the gang, its originality as a distopic erotic romance setting and the plots are always well written. It's really a pleasure to plunge into the world of O'Kane, it goes under your skin.
